The DG NIALS Prof M T Ladan while welcoming participants to the international seminar on Dispute Resolution in the international Energy sector today Tuesday 18 October 2022, raised some fundamental questions to be unraveled by the panelists: how complex is the energy sector and what really determines its scope? Should parties to an international Energy project worry on disputes arising or they should focus on how to manage that dispute as a significant risk to get a satisfactory result?? What are the preferred types of dispute resolution methods in the international Energy sector and how effective and enforceable are the existing legal framework for such dispute resolution??
