Date: 16 – 17 October, 2017

Venue: Lagos

Course Objective
The Energy sector in Nigeria has been undergoing a huge transformation, premised on the total restructuring of the electricity sector. This should, if properly implemented, allow for the goal of universal access to electricity for all Nigerians, through the active involvement of the private sector as service providers, with the government primarily acting as regulator. Power purchase agreements are critically important and form the bedrock of any liberalised electricity sector, irrespective of the source of the electricity. An understanding of what they are, how they operate, and how they can be structured to the advantage of concerned parties is vital for all professionals involved in energy and electricity in Nigeria, either in management or consultative capacities. This training course aims to educate and strengthen participants in this area, giving them greater understanding and making them more effective, so that they can better contribute to the success of their respective institutions.
